The Mediation Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) has been formed with a view to making
mediation a viable alternative to litigation for the resolution of disputes in a
multi-disciplinary framework. Its founder members acknowledge a universal source
of power, consciousness and wisdom at work through them in driving this project.
The objects of the Institute are:
- to promote the use of the process of mediation as a means of resolving disputes
within a multidisciplinary framework;
- to provide a professional mediation service ensuring the highest standards of integrity
and competence of its mediators;
- to provide training, workshops, seminars and
mentorship to existing mediators or any person interested in such training;
